The elements of video quality, audio quality, and latency are the underpinning of the user experience of VirtuaLive™.
The transport of these elements between sites requires an mpeg2 or mpeg4 codec (encode/decode) platform that supports the defined requirements of VirtuaLive™. i.e.:
- Quality
- Latency
- Resiliency
- Management
All of Teliris VirtuaLive™ systems can be delivered either with mpeg2 or mpeg4 codecs or HD codecs depending on the customer needs. In addition, as an option, a codec to interface with traditional video conferencing can be added to each system so that a room can talk "telepresence" to all other rooms that have telepresence and talk "traditional video conferencing" to locations that only have H.323 or H.264 capabilities.
