Organizations do not easily fit into standard boxes. For telepresence to be effective it needs to be able to fit into the organizational structure not vice versa. There may be global meetings where 2 people usually attend from one location and 8 people usually attend from another location. Teliris reviews these variations with customers to ensure that the VirtuaLive™ system in each room matches the specific needs of each location.

Symmetry versus asymmetry

Not all locations in a video teleconference meeting will necessarily have the same number of people in each meeting. If location A normally has 8 people in the room and location B normally has 3 people in the room, the system in each conference room needs to ensure that the right images are received and sent and the right eye contact is maintained to create a life-like experience. Teliris works with customers to ensure that the VirtuaLive™ system in each location matches the use in each location.

Size

Teliris VirtuaLive™ is the only video teleconferencing solution that allows the number of displays and video streams to vary from conference room-to-conference room so that a company can utilize VirtuaLive™ in a variety of settings for a variety of needs whether to fit into an office or smaller meeting room or to fit in to a form sized room.

Use and layout

With VirtuaLive™ a company can vary the number of people on a display so that when additional people attend they can still participate in life-size images. This automatically occurs based on the number of people invited to video teleconference meetings in each location through the VirtuaLive™ scheduling portal (which seamlessly interfaces with Outlook). As a result, a full range of potential uses can be supported from one-on-one distance meetings to large group global forums with the same picture quality, true duplex synchronized sound and image scale.

Fixed "in-office" solution that allows executives to communicate with each other or to be integrated into larger VirtuaLive™ meetings. Teliris' standard configuration where one side of a conference room table is people and the other side of the table is the number of displays to correspond to the number of locations and people that are included in the meeting. The standard configuration includes a presentation system as well as an integrated audio-conferencing system all managed by Teliris to ensure 99%+ performance. A standard video teleconference room with additional presentation (for example, Teliris' VirtuaLive™ Lectern system) and collaboration tools (for example, electronic white boards, media editing environments). Teliris has several solutions that both provide for an expanded set of collaboration tools and customized integration into existing conference rooms Where there is a need to include a larger number of people perhaps in multiple rows, Teliris forum environment provides for the ability to utilize VirtuaLive™ in an expanded space to accommodate efforts that require collaboration among large teams across multiple (2 or more!) locations.
