Enabling A Completely New Class of Technology
No other meeting technology can provide the detail and immediacy you'll find with "Interactive Telepresence". As the foundation for our VirtuaLive™ family of products, it is a revolutionary change in the approach and the
underlying technology for meeting over great distances.
In two quick steps, our superbly crafted meeting environments let you initiate a global,
multi-city conference with DVD and HD-quality sight and sound. Distance disappears, and key decisions are reached, just as in a real, in-person meeting.
Our unique technologies include:
- Sophisticated encoding/decoding equipment-we deploy broadcast quality codecs that have ultra
low latency, and are highly interactive, reliable, controllable and high quality. Once this class of codec is used in a system, everything else has to conform to a higher set of standards, such as the need for higher quality cameras, vs. lower quality options
- Special lenses and track systems—in order to produce vectoring (the technology that makes realistic eye contact and inclusion of non-verbal cues happen in a remote meeting), cameras must capture multiple angles, have to be able to move, pan tilt and zoom, and, must be wide screen. This is why we manufacture our own special lenses and track systems
The Highest Technology Standards
No other videoconferencing or teleconferencing product or solution can reputably make the claims we do, now or in the future. Some specific technical criteria for ensuring that a conferencing solution can create a state of “Being There” for the user include:
- Vectoring: The creation of a single, unified space between all the rooms
- A/V quality: DVD or HD quality true duplex audio and Dolby-Digital sound
- Signal encoding and decoding: Our standard and HD broadcast quality technology allows the ultimate level of efficiency and quality
- User-centric Environment: Conference environments that are designed around simplicity and ease-of-use
- Global Network Coverage: We can provide access to any team, anywhere
- Effortless Control and Management-on-site and remote options: Software that's designed to be quick and effortless
- Architected using IT standards, not A/V standards: A/V quality is really a function of rigorous IT performance
